At Elk River Get-A-Way, we want to help you plan your next adventure! We offer packages designed to get you and your friends and family out on the beautiful scenic Elk River. If you are interested in kayaking, canoeing, fishing West Virginia’s infamous “muskie channel”, or to just enjoy an afternoon out on the water; our premier services and equipment are right for you.
We offer a variety of rental options including sit–in & sit–on 10’ kayaks, professional grade fishing kayaks, inflatable parent/child kayaks, canoes, and more. We also offer primitive camping packages which include various options for hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, swimming and excursions to local businesses in the area.

A couple hour float just not enough? We have a solution for that... We also offer primitive camping packages which include various options for hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, swimming and excursions to local businesses in the area. We have limited facilities on site or you can bring your own gear! Our grounds are secure and we offer free parking, picnic area, and an on-site portalet. Our camping sites are family and pet friendly!

ERG CANCELLATION POLICY
General Cancellation:
In the case of unforeseen circumstances and events, we offer a 50% refund of prepaid deposits on cancellations made at least 24 hours before scheduled reservation.
Inclement Weather:
Full refunds or transferred reservations will be issued for cancellations as a result of inclement weather, unsafe or hazardous river conditions.
No Call/No Show:
Deposits collected and applied to reservations are non-refundable BUT ARE transferrable for No Call/No Show or cancellations that occur within 24 hours of scheduled reservation.

& FAMILIES WELCOME!
Hands on instruction is available for all experience levels. Kayak equipment will be adjusted to fit the individual. For everyones safety, participation of children under the age of six is NOT recommended.

ROUTES & LOCATIONS
CHECK-IN & SHUTTLES
Rental services begin with Check-In at ERG Headquarters where you can leave your vehicle in a safer location while you're out on your Elk River Adventure. We shuttle renters to the launch point for drop off and pick up and return you to your vehicles when you've completed your trip.
Do you already own your own kayak? We offer one way shuttle services: Pick up from Queen Shoals and shuttle up to King Shoals for drop off. Looking for a different route? Just give us a call, we can work out a plan that fits your needs.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
Adult Supervision Required
17 & Under require adult supervision at all times while on ERG grounds and on the river.
Credentials
We are fully licensed, bonded, insured & CPR certified.
Elk River Class
The Elk River is considered flat-water with occasional Class I challenges which include some shoals and obstacles.
Youth Safety
For safety, we do not advise the participation of children under 6 years of age.
Rescue & Recovery
Rescue & Recovery of equipment for unfinished floats may result in additional fees.
Environment
Watersports such as kayaking and canoeing can be physically demanding activities open to environmental/elemental hazards. (i.e. Sunburn & insect bites)
Pets & Parking
We have FREE parking and are pet friendly, ask for more information when you RSVP!
Accountability
We are not responsible for personal injury, loss or theft of personal property or possessions.
Physical Health
Those with health conditions or allergies should consult with ERG staff BEFORE booking!
